Meet the Team

For two decades, Brian Baumley has led communications and content marketing programs for the world’s leading cable, mobile, media and technology companies. As founder and principal of BLB Communications since 2008, Brian develops and executes campaigns that position clients as industry leaders to boost market awareness, drive thought leadership and increase sales.

Brian has guided PR efforts for companies of all sizes, ranging from new startups to some of the most well-known brands worldwide. This includes clients in mobile and telecom (Ericsson, Telcordia, Spirent, MobiledgeX, Vasona Networks and Shazam), media (Altice, Cablevision, Lightpath, Imagine Communications, BigBand Networks, Broadbus, SCTE and IBB Consulting), software and web services (Market7, Joost, OneWire and Soundflavor) and consumer electronics (JVC, BenQ and Panasonic).

A tech enthusiast since childhood, Brian develops a comprehensive understanding of companies, products and services he represents and frames in the context of emerging market trends. This informs highly-targeted programs that include corporate positioning, messaging, branding, press/analyst relations, product launches, multi-platform content development and thought leadership campaigns.

Previously, Brian was part of Telcordia’s in-house PR team, spent two years with Cohn & Wolfe (WPP), four years with Euro RSCG Worldwide PR (Havas) and two years with MRM Worldwide (Interpublic Group).

Jen has more than 15 years of public relations experience and has worked with BLB since 2010. Her career spans work with a variety of clients in the cable, mobile, technology, corporate, human capital, education and consumer industries. This includes helping emerging and growing companies build brands through strategic opportunities across events, thought leadership, press and beyond. Jen’s extensive tech PR background enables her to quickly jump into new tech stories and determine the right approach to garner quick results and visibility for her clients.

Donna Bastien brings extensive experience in marketing communications, product marketing, and strategic planning. She has served a range of global tech, telecom and enterprise companies, bringing deep business and technical strong analyst relationships and excellent editorial capabilities.

Donna’s recent client work includes engagements with Ericsson, Federos/Monolith Software, Etiya, MYCOM and TM Forum.

She was previously director of marketing at NetCracker Technology, guiding corporate marketing, thought leadership, industry outreach and marketing communications. Prior to this role, at Agilent Technologies, Donna was worldwide OSS outbound marketing manager and group strategic marketing manager. Before the Agilent spinoff, Donna was telecommunications strategy manager at HP, performing strategic planning across HP Divisions and HP Labs.

Prior to joining HP, Donna spent 11 years at Bellcore, culminating as vice president and account manager for U S WEST. Prior to divestiture, Donna performed systems engineering and software development at Bell Laboratories.

Donna holds a Ph.D. (experimental physics) from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, an M.S. (physics) and a B.S. (mathematics and physics) from Purdue University. She also completed M.I.T. Sloan School of Management’s program for senior executives.

Mindi Rosser is a social media strategist helping BLB clients engage with customers, end users and  influencers, and develop a voice in key digital channels. A digital native, Mindi has spent nearly a decade working with B2B and B2C companies ranging from global consumer brands to edgy startups on developing and implementing strategic social media marketing programs. She specializes in helping B2B companies and executives use social media to drive impactful business results.

With nearly twenty years of experience, Kurt Jegou is an award-winning graphic designer leading art direction for BLB-produced content, including web copy, whitepapers, infographics, brochures, interactive email, slide presentations, social media graphics and other collateral. He was previously an art director for Ericsson and Telcordia, and began his career with a large commercial printer, supporting the company’s prepress processes. He’s also held design positions with DC Comics and several marketing firms. Kurt is a graduate of the University of Miami.
